Well, it’s already April scarily and with the longer, lighter days and that glimpse of sunshine we’ve missed so very much, we need some more to do with that spare time of ours! So, here are some things you shouldn’t miss over the coming months!

Get down to the Natural History Museum for the ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year‘ exhibition – only on until the 8th May. With some beautiful pictures and notes about the story behind taking the photo, this is a fantasticly (is that a word?!) immersive exhibition and my favourite in a long time! There’s everything from sunsets, to sealife, to safari in the selection of finalists and winners photos from around the world and I can’t do it justice in words – make sure you get down there to check it out!

I hope everyone else is as excited as me about the release of Jungle Book this Friday?! Why not check it out at Waterloo’s IMAX for a real cinema experience? It’s got a CGI bear and Scarlett Johansson as the snake – what’s not to love?!

Fancy something a little bit different? There’s a new way to combine your hobby of art and a love of animals down at ‘Wild Life Drawing‘! Combine a drawing workshop, a live model (of the fury variety) and an animal expert and you get these fun classes where you can get up close and personal with micro pigs, donkeys, bunnies, lizards and more… the latest one is three seperate classes over several months with baby owls, to see how they grow, change and develop. Sign up here!

Any other ‘Dirty Dancing‘ fanatics out there? Secret Cinema’s latest offering is a fantastic immersive screening of the classic film, with a full outdoor set of the Kellerman’s holiday resort! Then kick back and watch the film, with as much sing-a-long or dance-a-long as you like! Bet you a tenner someone brings a watermelon…

Last but not least, it’s time to grab your tickets for some fantastic festivals around the city this summer! You’ll catch me at Field Day Festival in Victoria Park with a brilliant line-up, including Temper Trap, PJ Harvey, Adam Green, James Blake and Mystery Jets – my top tip, buy a VIP ticket – it’ll cost you a bit more but the time it’ll save on queuing for loos and booze will be tremendous!

field day

Well, there’s a few things to keep you busy in London for the next few months! What else do you recommend?
